About me.

Justis Peppin in a Seattle Great Wheel gondola, looking out over Elliott Bay.

I finished a BS in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, College of Engineering, in June 2026.

Alongside the degree I spent three years at Apple as a Sales Experience Consultant. That work was the same one I do in research: figure out what someone actually needs, then build a solution around it rather than around the product I happened to be holding. I was the top performing Business Engagement specialist in 2025.

I am now moving toward UX research and research driven strategy. The thread through all of it has been the same: understanding how people think, and finding where a system fails them. I like learning about users and their use cases more than I like any particular tool.

03

How I run a project, end to end.

Research, synthesis, build, and handoff. The order matters more than the method.

  1. Discover

Qualitative and quantitative in the same pass: moderated interviews and field observation alongside survey instruments, with LLM assisted workflows to code transcripts and segment audiences at speed.

  2. Define

Synthesis into audience profiles, journey maps, and one problem statement the team commits to. Scope is set here, and the roadmap either holds or it does not.

  3. Build

Component systems and interactive prototypes in Figma. CAD and physical prototyping when the product is hardware. Fidelity chosen to answer the open question.

  4. Ship

Usability testing, iteration against real feedback, and documentation the next owner can pick up without me. Scope, timeline, stakeholders, clean handoff.
